GOP blogger Hellier posts critic's assault arrest papers

Hellier got hold of Plymouth Police Department documents dated May 29, 2006 which show that Trice was taken into custody after a woman, who described herself as Trice's boyfriend, showed up at the police station and said she was assaulted by Trice. In the first page of the narrative supplied by the police and posted by MDE, she described being dragged through their apartment after an argument. In the second page, police describe Trice's arrest on domestic assault charges. (The woman's name is redacted from the documents posted by MDE.)
Trice later pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct charges.
Contacted this morning, Trice pointed out that the incident is hardly a secret: He disclosed the arrest in an April 10 post on his own Web site:
In light of the fact that I will be publishing many records on my personal blog, I feel it is appropriate to say that in the Spring of 2006 I pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct.
While I am not proud of the situation. I do not defend my behavior and I do not expect others to defend my behavior. I learned from my mistake and will carry with me the lessons I have learned.
Above all, I am sorry for my actions.
We all make mistakes. There it is. Ok, back to regular posting.
