Gun in face, bank teller refuses to hand over cash

Talk about gall. Staring into the barrel of a black handgun inches from her face, a St. Paul bank teller on Tuesday refused to hand over the cash demanded of her.

Rather than call her bluff, the gunman ran out the doors of Cherokee State Bank onto Smith Ave.

No word yet on what, if anything, the bank's CEO plans on doing to acknowledge--or reprimand--the teller's defiance. (General protocol in most banks dictates that employees submit to robbers to lessen the danger to the public).

The suspect is a thin white guy between 5-8 and six-foot in his 30s. Click here to see a photo. Anyone with information about the would-be robber should give the FBI a ring at 612.376.3200.
