Motorists beware: The stretch of soutbound I-35W between I-94 and Hwy. 62 will close this weekend for more construction on the Crosstown update. All lanes will be closed starting at 10 p.m. tonight until 5 a.m. Monday.

In other words, figure out another way to get where you're going. And don't say we didn't warn you.

When the road reopens Monday, two major exits will change: If you are southbound on 35W trying to access Hwy. 62E, you will exit on the left lane. Motorists trying to access Hwy. 62W will now use the right two lanes. This is the complete opposite of the current configuration, so pay attention to signage.

More details from the Star Tribune:
The ramp from eastbound Hwy. 62 to northbound Interstate Hwy. 35W will be closed, and all lanes of westbound Hwy. 62 from the eastern junction with Interstate Hwy. 35 to Hwy. 121/Lyndale Avenue also will be shut down from 10 p.m. today until 5 a.m. Monday. Eastbound Hwy. 62 will remain open and motorists will be able to access northbound I-35W from westbound Hwy. 62, MnDOT said.
