Pretty much everybody in the Twin Cities watched the Vikings-Packers showdown on Monday Night Football. But if you need numerical proof, KSTP has just issued a press release with the numbers:

5 EYEWITNESS NEWS delivered a 40.8 (54.3 share) in household ratings.  When combined with the ESPN audience, the number rose to 1,008,899 households (out of a total of 1,730,530) in the Minneapolis/St. Paul market tuning into the game.  The men 25-54 demo was a whopping 51.0 (85.4 share) combined with ESPN.

The station also has money in the bank for December 28, when the Vikings take on the Bears on Monday Night Football.

The game was also the most-watched program in the history of cable.

A mammoth 21.8 million viewers watched Brett Farve lead the Vikings against his former team, drawing a 9.0 rating among adults 18-49.
