We here at City Pages felt the urge to punch a stranger this morning when we awoke to snow falling from the sky. Yes, it's pretty, blah blah blah. But it's freaking Oct. 12 and this is unacceptable.

The University of Minnesota St. Paul campus is reporting 4 inches of snow. Other areas have between 2-4 inches.

And we're not just complaining for the sake of it. We're young kids (just out of the womb pretty much) and we can actually say that we have never seen this much snow between Oct. 1 and Oct. 15 in our lifetime. The most snow that has ever been recorded in this same time period was in 1977 when 2.5 inches fell Oct. 10. And we weren't even alive then, so take that. And the last time we even saw measurable snow in the Twin Cities was a measly 0.6 inch in 2002.

Yep, we remember the epic 1991 blizzard and the 8+ inches. Kind of. Like, remember being carried by our dads from house-to-house and quickly unzipping our winter coats to show off our cute costumes to neighbors. Bonus: Extra candy for actually braving a blizzard for a handful of sweets. It was worth it.

But Halloween is still two weeks away. We can't stand for this.
