After Star Tribune opinion columnist Katherine Kersten speculated that Al Franken could have won the election through ACORN fraud, the story went national. Every loves to imagine some scandal involving a comedian-turned-politician and some organization supposedly dead-set on destroying our election system.

The story had died down, likely because Kersten didn't have a single ounce of evidence to support the claim. There have been no investigations in Minnesota to prove any voter fraud by the organization. That doesn't stop Fox News's Bill O'Reilly from recycling the news on his show last night. The one surprise: Even O'Reilly found the claim to be a bit of a stretch.
