Bachmann top aide quits one day before health care "house call"
Michelle Marston, a vereran on the Hill, replaced Bachmann's previous aide last February and helped pack her schedule with public appearances, most notably on cable TV.
The planned events on Thursday will likely be Bachmann's biggest media moment so far. We can only expect great things.
Politico talked to Marston through email, but wouldn't explain the circumstances.
"I'm just not talking about it, and frankly I don't think there's a story here," Marston wrote. "Now, the thousands of people calling our office to tell us [they're] coming to Capitol Hill tomorrow - that's a story."Politico also got a money quote from an unnamed Republican House member about Bachmann and her inability to keep staff:
"When your captain's crazy, it's time to find a new ship," the lawmaker said.Couldn't have said it better ourselves.
