Brock Lesnar is in stable condition and recovering from a bacterial infection.

The illness that felled UFC Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar and put his career in jeopardy was a bacterial infection in his intestinal tract, according to UFC President Dana White in USA Today

"He's in stable condition and should be released soon," UFC President Dana White said.

This is the first positive sign we've seen since this strange saga began. First Lesnar had to postpone his title defense with Shane Carwin because of what was thought to be H1N1 Swine Flu. Then it turned out to be Mono. Then he was also afflicted with a mystery intestinal illness that could end his career. Apparently, it is a bacterial infection of the intestinal tract.

However, the jury is still out on whether Brock will return to the Octagon to defend his belt.

He also said he did not know if the 32-year-old South Dakota native will fight again.

"It depends on how serious this is," White said.
