She was the 66th Secretary of State of the United States under President George W. Bush. She worked as an assistant for national security affairs. On occasion she would accidentally refer to the President as her husband (awkward!). Thandie Newton played her in a movie directed by Oliver Stone. This weekend she will be in town for a lecture and a Q&A in St. Louis Park. Tickets are still available, but it will cost you. (Not your soul).

According to the website, during this talk there will be an unscripted Q&A session where Ms. Rice will discuss a variety of subjects. Tickets are $50-$180, with other special tickets for a meet-and-greet available as well. Call 952.920.3512 to RSVP.

The event will be at Beth El Synagogue, located at 5224 W. 26th Street in St. Louis Park. For more info, visit www.bethelsynagogue.org/2009/08/31/speaker-series.
