Dutch authorities have arrested a 43-year-old Somali man with Minnesota ties who is wanted in the U.S. for allegedly financing Islamic terrorists.

DutchNews.nl reports that the man may have helped extremists travel to Somalia to train with the radical Islamic movement Al Shabaab.

The man is believed to have lived in Minneapolis until November 2008. He showed up at a refugee center in the Netherlands town of Dronten about a month later.

In keeping with Dutch privacy laws, the man's identity has not been released. American authorities are seeking his extradition.
