A woman who checked herself in for alcohol treatment at Hazelden without her husband's knowledge is now suing the Center City program for violating her privacy after it contected the man to discuss her treatment.

The Hennepin County District Court complaint, in which the woman is identified as L.B., said she kept her treatment secret in part because  she thought she might be able to save her marriage if she got help from Hazelden.

So much for that. More from the Strib:

L.B.'s husband drove to Hazelden and told her of the unauthorized disclosure. He told her he wanted to end their marriage and be left alone, which the lawsuit said is the precise scenario L.B. feared.

The woman is seeking $50,000 in damages.
