MNfashion Holiday opens at Gaviidae Commons

​With Halloween a distant memory of zombies, party crashers, and packets of Skittles, it is now time to turn our attention to the upcoming holidays that celebrate grocery stores and shopping malls. While some of us will stare blankly at Amazon's lame gift suggestions, others will trek out to the Mall of America. However, those looking to avoid the mega-mall and/or the internet this holiday season should check out MNfashion Holiday at Gaviidae Commons.

This will be the second year for the temporary shopping boutique featuring local designers. Those selling their wares this year include lovely hats by Ruby3, dressmaker Calpurnia Peach, ladylike clutches by AO3 Designs, and the dramatic designs of George Moskal. Other participants include FOAT Design, POST Accessories, and Liebling Designs.  

Gaviidae Commons is located in downtown Minneapolis at 651 Nicollet Mall. The boutique will be open November 9 through December 31. Hours are Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sundays noon to 5 p.m. from Thanksgiving weekend through Christmas. In addition to these regular shopping hours the space will also host a variety of trunk shows, cocktail parties, and an indoor market Fridays from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. For more info visit www.mnfashion.org.
