U2 bummer: No booze at TCF Stadium concert
Categories: U of M
The stadium doesn't serve alcohol during sporting events and U of M Athletic Director Joel Maturi says they are staying consistent.
"Live Nation and U2 are OK with that. We think it's the right thing to do as we first move into this new venture here at the TCF Bank Stadium so there will not be alcohol served there," Maturi told WCCO.
The University serves alcohol at Northrop during non-University events, but decided against that sort of exception for the stadium.
U2 will be playing the stadium June 27. Football season ticket holders and University students will get the first shot at tickets before they go on sale to the general public Nov. 21.
