Drudge Report uses Minnesota snowstorm as evidence against climate change

• People are stupid.

• Talk about sounding like a ridiculous religious wacko... In the first place, DRUDGE did NOT imply the storm debunked global warming. (Very rarely does he editorialize anything. He posts links to other sources.) But let's look at what IS there: "Dallas has first white Christmas in 80 years." "Record setting snow across OK." "Forecasters warn of continued blizzards in Plains." Virginia had 15 inches on the ground. Last winter there was snow in New Orleans. Last year, the longest, coldest, hardest winter in my 58 years, there was still snow on the ground in the middle of April. What kind of faith does it take to disbelieve one's own senses? Temperatures have been falling over the last ten years. The cat's out of the bag. The conspiracy to cook the books in favor of global warming has been outed. Do you realize there have been four ice-ages over the earth's history? What influence did man have on those? And the tiniest bit of common sense would tell you another ice age would pose greater danger than so-called, global-warming. Think about it. Where does most of our produce come from during the winter months? California, Florida, Central America. Places with warmer climates. What would be the affect of the world's food supplies if those areas were reduced to a three-month growing season? I realize youth is filled with indignant outrage at some of the perceived injustices of life that have not yet been tempered by the experience of living. The man-made global warming theory reminds me of a modern-day Tower of Babel. The hubris of man to believe he actually has the power to affect that which he cannot control.

• What the Right really believe and agree on when they are alone amongst themselves is that God would never allow us to destroy the Earth. So even if we were capable of creating global warming, God would keep things in check for us. They won't admit this in public however, for fear of sounding like a religious wacko and ridiculous. It's amazing what you can get a lot of people to admit to in good conscience over a couple of stiff drinks.

• This headline shows the bias of the writer. No where did Drudge say that snowstorm disproves global warming. It does perhaps show Irony. And perhaps it shows how using anecdoctal evidence is silly. Like liberals do with polar bears. Haha,

• The evidence doesn't point to naturally occurring climate change. Typical climate shifts take millennia to happen. This one started at the advent of the second industrial revolution and is happening at a much faster rate than is typical. There is a direct correlation. But the right has their conservative meteorologists and "physicists" to provide empty solace for their opinion.

• We all now that City Pages is left of Pravda, but seriously. There is NO man made global warming. How did we come out of the last ice age without the internal combustible engine or the burning of fossil fuels? Answer: The earth goes through cyclical changes brought on by mother earth herself, and events in the solar system, such as sun spots.

• OK. Yes, there are extremely cold temperatures right now. Is it possible that this is the result of the melting snowcaps distributing the once frozen water into the atmosphere and surrounding oceans? Am I the only one that was taught (in 5th grade science) why an ice cube melts in a cup of water? It is the result of a reaction between the frozen surface area with the surrounding water. Of course, this resulted in a colder overall temperature of the water and no icecube. Now, try this same experiment in the sun. Yes, the water gets colder first...followed by evaporation leaving the cup empty.

• The ignorance of the Right when it comes to climage change is alarming. It would be funny if the issue wasn't so serious. These wingnuts are clueless.
