P2P users screwed by Comcast win $16 back
Want to get $16 for your pain and suffering? Here is how you qualify:
- You live in the United States or its territories.
- You have a current or former Comcast high-speed Internet account
- You used or tried to use Ares, BitTorrent, eDonkey, FastTrack or Gnutella P2P protocols at any time from April 1, 2006 to December 31, 2008
- AND/OR You tried to send emails using Lotus Notes any time from March 26, 2007 to October 3, 2007.
For more information on the settlement, check out this site. The $16 doesn't exactly make up for the obscene prices they charge for the Internet, but we'll take what we can get.
