An obese Minneapolis father and daughter are among the latest batch of contestants willing to put themselves through the hell of major weight loss in public on the NBC show "The Biggest Loser."

Hell enough might be having to wear those insanely bright yellow show T-shirts for their promotional photo and video shoots, but the pair look genuinely delighted to have made the cut for the show anyway -- even as they sob during the weigh in.

O'Neal Hampton, 51 years old and 5 feet 11 inches tall, is a former football jock, and an Army paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne Division. He says his sports and military career took a toll on his left knee, and "one day I woke up, and here I am, damned near 400 pounds."

His 24-year-old daughter daughter, Sunshine, is 5 feet 6 inches tall and tips the scales at 275 pounds.

"I came from a big family, and I want to have a family. But in this shape, I'm not able to have kids. I don't even have a boyfriend. I never even been on a date," she says. "I think that if I lost the weight I could attract someone who's healthy. I could be healthy. Start a family and have kids."

The show's new season starts tonight at 7 p.m. on KARE-11.
