UPDATE: Robert Blake Castonguay, 26, of Minneapolis, is the man who died.

A man who got into a fight last week and died early yesterday morning is the 12th homicide of 2010 in Minneapolis.

Two men got into an early morning fight last Thursday, March 18, in the 1600 block of Upton Avenue North. When Minneapolis police got there, one of the men was lying on the ground unconscious. Apparently, he'd fallen and hit his head, which had knocked him unconscious. He was taken to North Memorial Center, where he died early yesterday.

"It's considered a homicide," said Sgt. Jesse Garcia III. "But the County Attorney will determine if murder charges will be filed. When one person dies as a result of another person, it's considered a homicide."

The death could also be ruled self-defense.
