Wisconsin Rapids police officer Roy Woyak hasn't seen anything like it in his 30 years on the force: A man, his legs dangling from the mouth of a laundry chute, having to be cut free while a little girl in the house panics because she thinks the guy is going to be cut in half.

The 20-year-old man, not identified by the Wausau Daily Herald where the story first ran, evidently climbed into the laundry chute on a dare, dropped down and got wedged in, with his arms stuck above his head.

So, while Woyak and a firefighter stood beneath the man and helped prop him up to take the pressure off his chest, another officer worked to calm the girl as more firefighters cut a hole in the wall and pulled the trapped man to safety.
