Gary Tinsley's getaway ride didn't get him away fast enough: The 6-feet 1-inch, 220-pound linebacker tried to evade the cops on a moped early Sunday morning after being spotted driving the wrong way on a one-way street.

Minneapolis police say Tinsley later ditched the moped and tried to get away on foot, but was eventually stopped by campus police. He now faces two felony charges including fleeing police and driving while intoxicated.

"I don't have all the facts, but I'm aware of it," Gophers athletics director Joel Maturi told the Pioneer Press. "We're disappointed. We're frustrated. I believe we'll handle it appropriately. Once we know all the facts, we'll make a decision on how to respond."

It's not the native Floridian's first brush with Minnesota cops. He was cited last fall for underage drinking and fleeing police on foot, according to a police report.
