Wade Burnside apparently made the mistake of getting between Tisha Keller's pet iguana and John Leslie Anderson on Sunday in Alexandria: Burnside's recovering at the Hennepin County Medical Center after suffering a stab wound delivered by a 12-inch knife, and Anderson has been charged with first- and second degree assault and is being held in the Douglas County jail.

The iguana? We're not sure.

Here's what the cops say happened, according to the Alexandria Echo Press and WCCO: Keller had moved out of her Alexandria apartment after not paying rent, but had left her pet iguana and its fish tank home. On Sunday, her friend Burnside went over to the apartment to pick up the reptile. There, he was confronted by Anderson, 49, of Minneapolis, who was staying at the apartment as the guest of another tenant.

The iguana wasn't going anywhere, Anderson told Burnside,19. They got into a fight. The cops were called. But before officers got to the home, the iguana's fish tank had been tossed around and broken, and Burnside had been stabbed.

The Echo Press says Burnside's in satisfactory condition at HCMC.
