Shadow, the Minneapolis Police Department K-9 stabbed on Tuesday during an all-hands-on-deck manhunt in Blaine, was released today from the vet and is on the mend, an MPD spokesman said. The suspect in the chase, L.C. Wesley Armstrong, is still at large.

Armstrong was chased north out of the city into Blaine by MPD officers before dawn on Tuesday. State Patrol officers brought his car to a halt with the aid of stop sticks, but he bailed out and ran into some nearby woods. Shadow was sent in after him, and emerged later with knife wounds.
