The thunder storm that rolled through Twin Cities Tuesday morning is likely to blame for a pair of house fires.

KSTP reports that lightning struck the gas meter of a house on Girard Avenue in Brooklyn Park just before 5 a.m., causing the meter to explode.

At about the same time, lightning struck a house on Vincent Avenue S. in Minneapolis, the Star Tribune reports. Everyone got out of the house OK, and firefighters had the blaze under control after about 45 minutes.
