Rep. Steve Drazkowksi wants to turn Minnesota into Arizona
Most of the country is looking askance at Arizona, clucking their tongues in disapproval and planning boycotts over a law requiring authorities to check the papers of anyone who looks vaguely Mexican.

Even some of the sun-baked xenophobes that passed the ill-conceived measure seem chastened by the backlash and fearful that their soft bigotry will put a big dent in the state's tourism coffers.

Yet one local lawmaker saw all this and thought: "We need more of that in Minnesota!"

Surprisingly, it wasn't Michele Bachmann.

No, Bachmann has remained relatively mum for once, leaving open the door for State Rep. Steve Drazkowski (R-Nuremberg) to step into the void and claim his rightful place as Minnesota's Biggest Bigot.

Drazkowski conceeds there's a slim to none chance the bill will pass--and slim just got deported. But that won't stop him from making an ass of himself.

"We're paying to educate, medicate and incarcerate illegal immigrants," Drazkowski told the Winona Daily News. "I think (the Arizona bill) is a great idea. You know, I wish I would have thought of it."
