He's good enough, he's smart enough ...
That comic book rendition of Sen. Al Franken's journey from SNL to the Senate has hit the streets.

We've said it before, we'll say it again: He's good enough, he's smart enough, but doggone it, he looks a little bit too much like Stuart Smalley here, doesn't he? But writer Jerome Maida says on the publisher's website the comic is looks beyond that:

"Al Franken has this reputation - not completely unfounded, if you read the comic - as a metaphorical bomb-thrower, a guy who hates his enemies and has an in-your-face style," said writer Jerome Maida said. "While I did find some stuff that would support that perception, I also found out a lot more interesting stuff that makes him a real person, a character instead of a caricature."

Maida's publisher appears non-partisan; Bluewater Productions has also put out "Political Power" titles on Ronald Regan, Colin Powell, and Barack Obama.

Such was not the case with "False Witness! The Michele Bachmann Story."
