Security video from Mystic Lake Casino provided to KSTP by police shows Deanna Stanius making a cash withdrawal
Deanna Stanius, once the administrative assistant at Shakoee High School, appears to have a mighty big gambling jonze.

She's been arrested on suspicion of stealing $160,000 from the school's student activities fund, and of using a school credit card to get $8,000 in cash advances, for extracurricular activity at Mystic Lake Casino.

Jackpot? Not.

The missing $160,000 took the form of checks that Stanius is accused of writing out for cash over a three year period.

Those checks were supposed to be approved with Principal James Murphy signiture, according to the Shakopee Valley News. But they weren't. The cops say Stanius forged Murphy's signature on the front of the checks, turned them over and endorsed them.

She was also issued a Discover credit card as part of her job,to purchase school supplies. The casino confirmed told the Valley News that she used it for cash advances.

Shakopee police showed KSTP security camera photos provided by the casino that show Stanius withdrawing cash at the casino (video here).

Stanius resigned from her job in April. She was arrested last week and charged with a string of felonies that could net her as much as 20 years behind bars if convicted.
