Michele Bachmann responds to "F*ck Michele Bachmann" flier
Yesterday we reported on local rapper G-Biz's "Fuck Michele Bachmann 2010" concert fliers that irked the congresswoman's campaign staff.
Nice try, Nancy Pelosi. We're all on to you.
Bachmann later responded to the poster on Sean Hannity's radio show, where she accused the media of holding a conspiratorial bias against conservative women that may trace all the way back to, you guessed it, Nancy Pelosi. Wait, what?
Here's the text of the interview:
Hannity: "I'm even sorry that I have to bring this up, but um, there is apparently a concert. I don't know if you've had a chance to see this. I don't even know how to say this. They're using your name as a headline, the "F" word and 2010. Have you heard about this?"
Bachmann: "I have, I have. It was just brought to my attention yesterday. And um, this is part of a pattern. I know you've reported on this before, there's a Playboy article. They had highlighted various conservative women and talked about the very lewd, derogatory, hateful, violent things that they wanted to do toward those women. I was one of those women. And this is a concert series, as you said, where they're using this degrading terminology. Also in Minneapolis there's a comic book series that was written showing me in a similar light.
"This is something that, when it's done to conservative women, we don't see an outrage coming form the media. I think if this happened to a liberal woman, I think we would just see all sorts of commentary. But when something this vile happens to a conservative, it seems like most of the media just turns the other way.
"And it's interesting, this week, Speaker Pelosi put me on the Red to Blue campaign, which means she wants all of her fellow Democrat members of Congress to contribute to my opponent, and she wants all the lobbyists hear in Washington, D.C. to also contribute to my opponent. So this came out at the same time as I was put on the Red to Blue campaign."
Hannity: "It's unbelievable."
It truly is. Listen to the interview here.
