Michele Bachmann stars in anti-socialism movie from church that blames Darwin for Holocaust

It's the end of the world as she knows it
In her never-ending quest to push the Obama-is-a-socialist meme forward, Michele Bachmann is featured in a new documentary horror movie produced by James Kennedy's Coral Ridge Ministries.

The video promo for "Socialism: A Clear and Present Danger" sandwiches Obama in between frothing-at-the-mouth Venezuelan leader Hugo Chavez, and Cubans dragging around a decrepit car by hand with a rope. We're just a heartbeat away evidently.

Buyer beware: Kennedy's Coral Ridge is the same outfit that intentionally distorted and hijacked research from the National Human Genome Research Institute for a 2006 "documentary" asserting a link between Charles Darwin's work on evolution, and Adolf Hitler and the Holocaust. The church's propaganda was trashed by the Anti-Defamation league.

"It must be remembered that D. James Kennedy is a leader among the distinct group of 'Christian Supremacists' who seek to "reclaim America for Christ" and turn the U.S. into a Christian nation guided by their strange notions of biblical law," ADL's National Director Abraham H. Foxman said at the time. "Hitler did not need Darwin to devise his heinous plan to exterminate the Jewish people."

One Bachmann gem from the movie:

"We've become indentured servants to the government. That's not what the founders envisioned for us. They envisioned that we would work for ourselves, for our families, grow the nation. The new view that government has of those of us who are citizens is that now we exist to serve government. We need to reverse course so we can get back to freedom."

And another:

"We're now spending money on a scale that no one has ever seen before. In history we've seen this happen just before the fall of Rome, where government raided its treasuries in order to grow a bigger bureaucracy. That's now happening in the United States. We have to reverse course immediately or it could mean the sinking of our civilization."

Says the congresswoman whose family Christian counseling business gets government support and whose family farm happily accepts agricultural subsides.

(Her grasp of the decline and fall of the Roman Empire is also, shall we say, arguable.)
