Man shoots himself beside I-394 in Golden Valley

​Details are sketchy right now, but it appears that a man shot himself in the chest this afternoon beside I-394, prompting the State Patrol to divert traffic off the busy freeway in the suburbs just ahead of rush hour.

KSTP is reporting that the man shot himself near the Louisiana Avenue bridge, and that Golden Valley police on the scene watched him do it.

The patrol confirms the shooting didn't involve a police officer, and the scene's under control now, and traffic is moving again.
