SPPD investigating vicious sexual assault

Police are investigating a report of a woman being held captive for 24 hours.
St. Paul Police are searching for a suspect who abducted an 18-year-old woman and sexual assaulted her for 24 hours before releasing her.

The woman was captured while returning to her house near Como Park around 5:30 a.m. June 19. She reported to police that the stranger tied her up and blindfolded her. He let her go near her house at 7:00 a.m. the next day.

A description of the suspect, from KSTP:

The suspect is described as a white male, age 45-50, with a thin build and moderate height. He has brownish-gold hair and was wearing a dark jacket and dark pants with sunglasses, a bandana and hat. The suspect's vehicle is believed to be an SUV with gray interior.

Minneapolis police are also investigating a recent sexual assault, according to the Star Tribune. A 30-year-old woman reported being pulled into an alley in north Minneapolis and raped early Friday morning. No description of the second suspect has been made public.
