Gustavus corpse flower blooms, stinks and withers [VIDEO]

The stink is off the corpse flower's bloom
For a few short days, Perry the corpse flower really stank out the joint at Linnaeus Arboretum on the Gustavus Adolphus campus. But the rank stench of rotting meat from its big-as-a-human bloom is off. According to students posting on Perry's Facebook page, the plant flowered gloriously over the weekend, was visited by 7,000 people, and is now a bit flacid. They've also posted some pretty cool time-lapse video. Check it out:
