Keith Ellison blasts "warmongers" in speech to Unitarians [VIDEO]

The first Muslim elected to Congress told a gathering of Unitarians recently that President Barack Obama is no miracle worker --especially when it comes to waging peace over war -- and that any of them who labor under that mistaken impression need to get their heads out of the sand.

"Of course President Obama hasn't brought forth heaven on earth," Rep. Keith Ellison told the 2010 General Assembly of the Unitarian Universalist Association in Minneapolis on June 26. "Did you think that he was going to?"
He needs a strong movement based on the movement of love to propel him forward to do the right thing. I think he wants to do the right thing, but when he's got the warmongers pulling on him, it's not easy to do the right thing."
Elison, remember, has proposed a U.S. Department of Peace.
