I will be seeing him tonight at a fundraiser for some of my local candidates. I will ask about that "ironclad" promise idea. Of course, I would suggest Tom to "pull an Obama". Promise whatever is popular to the masses. Then do as you please. Who cares if 65-70% of the electoral opposes what your doing. Hey, I tried to warn people that "HOPE AND CHANGE" really meant "HOAX AND CHAINS"!

• "Any why do you keep saying that you are black?" - Definitely not because he's concerned with appearance, as we all know that only liberals carry that trait, etc.

• The right is not concerned with appearances either Kirk? Notice the Freedom and Prosperity in bold lettering behind Emmer. And I seem to remember a certain somebody making quite the entrance onto an aircraft carrier a while back announcing our victory in Iraq. Both sides try to appeal to the weak minded. People who actually care are already so polarized it does not matter. Which carries over to the politicians. Nothing gets done because if they agree with the other side they look weak in the minds of their voters. Any why do you keep saying that you are black? Do you think that it blows everyone's mind that you are black and a conservative? It doesn't.

• Kirk -- The "proposal" that Emmer made about making the first $20,000 tax deductible is something he pulled out of his ass. He has never in his legislative career ever suggested anything like this...and based on his constant spinning of what he does and doesn't believe there is little likelihood that he would ever promote such a bill if somehow he gets elected. Next time he is out...he should be asked if that is an ironclad promise subject to resignation. Betcha he waffles on it. That said, Erickson is a fool who used what should have been a serious meeting for his own purpose: getting attention for himself. He created a situation where the Kirks of the world can claim "oh those intolerant liberalliberalliberalliberals" and make a martyr out of a guy who really came off like a blustering blowhard.

• I'd like to see Tom Emmer actually try and live on a minimum wage, not just wait tables for one night.

• Form over function is part of what's wrong with this country as a whole, but that's a discussion that isn't worth having with someone who intentionally mis-interprets a statement in order to ask a stranger on the internet a rhetorical question. The notion that the right is any less concerned with appearances is worth a laugh or two though, so at least you brought SOMETHING to the table.

• Still, not one mention that Emmer is proposing to cut taxes for servers on their tips. The first 20k of their reported tips would be exempted from any tax. More money for the servers/waiters and still they complain. Kinda sounded like the cries of an anti-Republican activist, and not that of someone with the best interests of the servers/waiters. Also, ?"Immigrant rights activist Robert Erickson"? Don't you mean illegal immigrant right activists. I think you need to rethink his title. Besides what did this have to do with immigration? Brainwashing the week minded anyway you can, huh Hart? I think it's time for the 6'-3" black man to punk that punk Erickison. Where is his next stunt at? In addition, Andy, don't you think that's what is wrong with the liberal America? Concern with appearance, and not with something that actually matters, like policy?
