Tornado warnings up for Twin Cities suburbs [UPDATED]
The tornado watch we told you about this morning was upgraded to a warning for Dakota and Goodhue counties this afternoon by the National Weather Service, capping a stinking hot day today. WCCO reported possible funnel clouds over Scott, Rice, and Stearns counties.![]()

Wind speeds of 62 mph. were recorded at the Lakeville Airport in Dakota County, according to the NWS
The NWS issued a tornado watch and a heat advisory until 4 p.m. for a broad swatch of the state. That means twisters, large and damaging hail, and heavy thunder and lightning are possible in the Twin Cities area.
