Minneapolis: we love being on lists

​We love our place in lists, and we just topped a good one: we're number one for developing medical devices and technology, says Business Facilities Magazine in its July/August issue. The magazine also ranks Minneapolis 8th in the nation for both quality of life and being green.

Business Facilities Magazine, a trade magazine which dubs itself "The Location Advisor," ranks metro areas in categories based on industry, growth potential, and cost of living. The Web site doesn't explain exactly how it comes up with the numbers--but whatever. We're happy to be on the list, even if we don't agree that Chicago shouldn't beat us out as a green city (it ranked third).

Here's the list of the top 10 cities for quality of life:
