Jarso Yohannes Adem was a failure when it came to winning back his former girlfriend, so he stalked her on her way home from school and threw battery acid on her face to help himself feel better.

Luckily for the woman, a jogger heard her screams and followed tough-guy Adem to a parking lot while calling St. Louis Park cops.
The victim identified Adem, who was arrested and later confessed.
It was attack he'd planned for several days, purchasing the acid, transferring it to a plastic bottle, and then waiting in ambush for her on her way home from school.
He's been charged with second degree felony assault, worth a possible seven years in prison.
The girl he attacked is in the hospital with chemical burns all over her face, neck and hands.
