Newt Gingrich will enlighten you for $5,000 a pop

It's Gingrich time.

Newt Gingrich says a lot of crazy stuff, but deep down, he's just a tortured intellectual working through the trials of being misunderstood by lesser lights.

And if you've got $5,000 to spare, he'll tell you all about it later this month.

The man who calls President Barack Obama a socialist with anti-Colonial Kenyan tendencies will grace Minneapolis with his presence in October to raise money fro the state GOP.

Newt Gingrich: Miss him yet?

We miss Newt holding presidents accountable. It's been a long time since he shut down the federal government over a snit with Bill Clinton aboard Air Force One; and since he screwed around with a Republican staffer 23 years his junior while scolding Clinton over the Monica Lewinsky affair. Man, those were fun times.

But Newt's back. Sadly, we don't have $5,000 to hear what he might have to say. Maybe someone can tweet from the clubby gathering at the Minneapolis Marriott and enlighten us.
