David Cress busted for a different bedside manner - the illegal kind
You might expect a hospital CEO who takes home nearly $1 million every year to do his extramarital canoodling on silk sheets with high-end call girls. Apparently highway off-ramp motels are more North Memorial Health Care president David Cress' style.
David Cress will have to find a cure for a ruptured reputation.
Cress was arrested early Wednesday morning in a prostitution sting at a hotel at West 77th St and Lyndale Ave in Richfield. After barely avoiding a nursing strike that threatened to bury his small, independent hospital system over the summer, can you blame the guy for trying to relax?
Instead, he's looking 90 days in the slammer if convicted. Cress was picked up along with a dozen other would-be Johns who answered an online ad cooked up by police.
It would be interesting to hear Cress try to explain this one to his board, especially after they made him the face of the hospital in television ads.
