Fans got out of control at St. Paul Central H.S. last night.
Somewhere between 50 and 60 fans at St. Paul Central High School's match against Como Park High School got into a massive brawl outside the Central stadium last night.

And you thought hooligans were just part of the European soccer scene.

St. Paul police tell us this morning that things started getting out of hand during the 4th quarter when a fight broke out in the bleachers between competing groups of supporters. Off duty officers working security during the the game tried to break things up, but the fights spread and the officers had to call for backup.

Eventually, the cops were able to move the brawl outside the stadium. Officers had to use pepper spray to break up the action, and eventually the crowd dispersed without any arrests, injuries property damage.

Meanwhile, Central beat Como 31-23.
