Jenn Sterger's Versus show canceled over limp ratings

Jenn Sterger couldn't draw enough eyeballs.
Brett Favre's still got his job as quarterback for the Minnesota Vikings -- at least for now. But Jenn Sterger just got pink-slipped. The Versus cable network has canceled her "Daily Line" show.

Limp ratings, the network told the AP. Nothing personal.

The two have been at the center of a media maelstrom since Deadspin published penis photos that it said Favre sexted to Sterger in 2008.

Both have clammed up since then. Favre's being investigated by the NFL, and has admitted to texting Sterger but not to sending her the lewd pictures. And the probe's gone nowhere in part because Sterger has so far refused to talk to league officials.

Maybe that will change now, since the former Playboy model and Jets sideline host has nothing to lose.

While Wrangler has pulled its ads featuring Favre from NFL broadcasts, it's ironic that Sterger, not Favre, has now come out of this scandal with the short end of the stick.
