Jose Francisco Gomez on 'America's Most Wanted' for stepdaughter's rape

Jose Francisco Gomez is accused of raping his 7-year-old stepdaughter.
Jose Francisco Gomez turned to God and became a Pentecostal minister, then he betrayed those who trusted him by raping his stepdaughter for years, beginning when she was seven, in the late 1990s.

Now, his face and identity are being splashed across the country by America's Most Wanted to try to help Minneapolis cops track him down.

Gomez used God to get to the girl, police say, preying on her with tactics approaching mind control so that his sexual assaults would appear blessed, rather than criminal. He split town after he was charged in 2006, and police think he either moved to Texas or fled the country. He has relatives all over the United States.

Wherever he is, young girls aren't safe.

"I can't see this guy stopping, he enjoys it too much," MPD Det. John Holthusen told AMW. "He's very systematic in what he does and how he operates. He's very calculating."

The 36-year-old man, who grew up in Central America and speaks fluent Spanish as well as English, might be gong by the name Fran, Frank, Joe, or Chico. The last time anyone saw him, he was packing 300 pounds onto his 5-feet 11-inch frame, sported a couple of facial moles, and had a large burn scar on the inside of his right forearm.

He might be driving a truck or a school bus. Or he might be preaching some twisted version of the Good Book.

Have you seen this guy? call 1-800-CRIME-TV if you can help.

"Twisted version of the good book"

Ha! You mean more twisted than 2 Kings 2:23-24?? More twisted than Genesis 38:8-10? How about Judges 11:29-40? I'm pretty sure that book is about as sick and twisted as books can get long before looney tunes ever got a hold of it. In fact, there are far more passages condoning this mans actions in the bible, than there are condemning.
