Jason Blashack stripped of law license after molesting 15-year-old

Sex offender Jason Blashack can't practice law for at least three years.

​Jason Blashack, a 37-year-old lawyer from Lester Prairie, just served 30 days in jail for sexually molesting a 15-year-old. Now the Minnesota Supreme Court has suspended his law license indefinitely.

Blashack pleaded guilty last June to criminal sexual conduct. The charges stemmed from a February 2010 incident in which Blashack fondled the breast of a 15-year-old girl while the two were watching television, according to the complaint. The victim told investigators that "she froze, was scared, and didn't know what to do."

The girl told her mother immediately, but the mother opted not to report the incident to authorities. It wasn't until two months later that a mandated reporter contacted McLeod County Social Services about the incident.

Blashack had only been licensed to practice in Minnesota for two years when he pleaded guilty. After today's Supreme Court disciplinary order, he'll have to wait a minimum of three years before he can reapply.
