Michele Bachmann on Meet The Press: Barack Obama is anti-American

Michele Bachmann loses perspective.
"Meet The Press" host David Gregory tried to get Rep. Michele Bachmann to answer some basic questions on Sunday morning.

She wouldn't. She ducked and weaved like a prize fighter as Gregory asked repeatedly whether she'd vote for shutting down the government, how the Obama administration should handle the rebellion in Libya, and whether or not she was an extremist.

But she was clear on two things.

Gettin' her gangsta on.
"You think the president has anti-American views?" Gregory asked.

"I think the president's actions in the last two years speak for themselves," she replied.

We'll take that as a yes: The congresswoman believes the president is anti-American. We look forward to the House Un-American Activities Committee hearings.

Does he run a gangsta government?

"I don't take back my statement on gangster government," Bachmann said.

This, after she visited Latin American countries whose governments are under genuine threat from bloodthirsty narcoterrorist gangsters. No difference between them and Obama? Bachmann has lost all perspective.

This is indeed a scathing indictment; however, it begs the question, “Why did it take the Republican congresswoman and former Congressman Ernest Istook of Oklahoma two years to uncover and expose the pre-funding of 105 billion dollars?” It seems that the chickens are coming home to roost after all. The Democrats stole Uncle Sam’s car and took it for a joy ride while the Republicans were asleep at the gate. And now Ms. Bachmann cries, “Fowl!”

Does she keep getting onto MSM news programs just so the rest of the world can be exposed to her loose bag of marbles? I suppose it does add some unpredictability to a normally staid Sunday morning wonkfest, but I always have to wonder how she manages to gain in popularity rather than lose.

Please oh please oh please let her keep up this psychotic drivel. Every time she spouts this insanity, the Teapublican Party sinks yet another inch into obscurity and historical curiosity. If she keeps it up, it's only a matter of time until the Wikipedia entry for Republican Party has one of those "needs information" thingies on it.

o.k. does anybody have _real_ info on this "$105 billion"? I know the health care act was dense bill, but I have a hard time believing that $105 billion just suddenly shows up in a bill that was debated to the degree it was... So just wondering what monies she is referring to?

Get your Michelle Bachmann Wind-up Doll Now -- Pull the string and she repeats and repeats and repeats the same line - No matter what the question is - Eight Times in 4 minutes on Meet the Press this morning she repeated the phrase "1.5 billion in hidden costs in Obama Care" - Really - 8 times!! Even when the question concerned unrest in the Middle East - her answer was $1.5 billion in hidden.... When the question was, would you vote to close down the government or raise the debt ceiling - her answer... you got it...$1.5 billion in hidden.....

Michelle Bachman Wind-Up Doll available now and through November 2012! No wonder, educated, thoughtful Republicans are afraid - this is one toy that could be VERY HARMFUL TO THE PUBLIC.

Dear David, it is my judgment that your skills as an interviewer are excellent. The GOP have indeed robbed the American people by not raising taxes for the super rich. That decision left billions in China and else where. Bachmann was obviously skittish as you cased her for some answers. I am sure you got more from her inability to answer than if she could answer, a necessary qualification for any politician.

On the Libya topic, she failed to mention whether the Libyans wanted any interjection which is what Gates seems to be seriously considering. Well done David.

At what point in her political career has Bachmann ever had perspective?

The Tea Party exist because the lefties and the righties got us into this mess by compromising our way into oblivion. The Tea Party is comprised of people like me who have had enough with politics and want to get this country back on track by sticking to what we know and that is freedom. You lefties can give up your freedom to some elected hack who has never accomplished anything besides being groomed for office (see Obama). Republicrats have ruined this country and we want it back. If u want socialism move to Canada.

I agree with you 100%  He kept at her, and she just kept repeating "I am running for president."  He really exposed the many issues that is terrified to touch. He did an excellent job.  He could have kept on her even more, but I think his restraint will do more good in the long run, and showed intense professionalism.

And the fact your party started before the current adminstration even began, supports your statement the party exist because 'lefties' and righties got us into

What lefties got us into this?
