Kevin Love leaves Moses Malone behind.
Kevin Love wasn't even sure he was going to play last night against the Indiana Pacers at the Target Center, thanks to a busticated knee.

Good thing he did, because he now owns the NBA record for the longest streak of double-doubles, 52. Until last night, Moses Malone owned that title.

Love hit 16 points and 21 rebounds. And he did it before half time.

Perhaps more amazingly, the Timberwolves won, 101-75. That's 16 wins for the whole season. Yay rah.

I like that Love played despite the bruised knee. He put the streak at risk because the Wolves needed him on the court.

It's a stupid record, and one that any real fan would trade for just a few more wins, but Love deserves the accolades.

Now, if they can just win at a 25% clip we've got a shot at 20 wins. Woot!
