Michele Bachmann won't show her birth certificate

| Michele Bachmann is a Birther again. |
We figured, why wait until then? We sent her team a request to see the document.
So far, the Bachmann camp has not produced evidence that Bachmann is, indeed, an American citizen. Gasp!
Bachmann has been flirting with the birther movement for a while now. She even resisted Good Morning America host George Stephanopoulos's request that she simply say whether she thinks Barack Obama is a U.S. citizen. After dodging the question at first, she finally blurted, "I think we should take the president at his word."
But she seemed to be back on the birther bus on The Jeff Katz Show this week, after Katz quipped that he had to show more paperwork for his kids to sign up for Little League than Obama did to run for president. Bachmann was sympathetic:
"I'll tell you one thing, if I was ever to run for president of the United States, I think the first thing I would do in the first debate is offer my birth certificate, so we can get that off the table."
She's not a birther, she just implies a lot.
But for all her bluster, Bachmann still has not produced the proof of her citizenship that City Pages requested. It's all starting to add up. She seems to have no knowledge of American history, having bungled Revolutionary War facts and completely forgetten about slavery. And isn't she oddly averse to airport security screenings? It doesn't look good.
