Goodbye, snow emergency!
Since December 17, we've been slogging through snow and ice, trying to dash home early enough to find an overnight home for our vehicles on our parking-restricted Minneapolis streets.

But today, we've just gotten the best sign of spring ever: Parking restrictions are officially over.

Effective today, you can park wherever you please. The only caveat: The city still has a few signs posted limiting parking on narrower Snow Emergency routes--and if you see one of those signs, follow it. However, as soon as the city removes those signs, it's a parking free-for-all.

Pretty soon it will be summer.
