Kim Rolene Hutterer keeps getting caught.
Kim Rolene Hutterer has had an unhealthy obsession with FBI Special Agent Dean Scheidler ever since the day he arrested her 20 years ago for threatening to bomb a Northwest Airlines flight.

Now she's been indicted after mailing the Minneapolis agent a gruesome letter in which she promises to kill him, illustrated with a picture of a dagger dripping blood. A sample:

"I would slowly cut skin off his body. Making small cuts to slowly allow the blood to drop out. I would cut his eyelids off. Break each of his fingers. Cut his palms open."

She also had some macabre plans for Vice President Joe Biden, and Tim Pawlenty, "while he is running for president."

Those are some serious threats, and from what we can tell, they're part of a pattern, but this is a woman noteworthy not only for her descriptive powers, but also her ability to get arrested.

Besides the airliner threat, the New Prague woman was caught in 2003 after fleeing a cop in Itasca County. She was arrested on suspicion of assault and stalking in 2008. In 2009 she was nabbed for violating probation, and later for harassment and stalking. She's also threatened to kidnap children.

It was easy for authorities to track her down this time, too, because she was already at the Carver County jail after pleading guilty to making terroristic threats - and that's the location from which federal agents say she mailed the letter to Scheidler last October.

Her lawyer says Hutterer's lethal threats are empty, but the indictment handed down today shows that authorities believe she's far from a joke. If convicted, she faces up to 10 years in prison on each mailing threatening communications count, and five years on both threatening the vice president alone.
