Michele Bachmann strangely silent on Obama's birth certificate

With birtherism well and truly debunked, AGAIN, Bachmann is strangely mum.
For years now, Michele Bachmann has raised eyebrows and garnered headlines by repeatedly encouraging the thinly-veiled racism of the birther movement.

But today -- a big day in birther history -- she has nothing to say.

Bachmann set her creepily nativist tone way back in 2008, when she accused the democratically elected President of the United States of being "anti-American."

In 2009, she temporarily blocked a house resolution recognizing Hawaii as Obama's birthplace.

Bachmann and the Birther Queen.
Last May, the City Pages Best Villain Emeritus was photographed hobnobbing with self-proclaimed "birther queen" Orly Taitz.

And it just kept going: In February, when Good Morning America asked her to acknowledge that the President is indeed an American, she refused to put out the birther flames she's fanned, saying instead: "That isn't for me to state. That's for the president to state."

After years of legitimization by the likes of Bachmann, the birther movement got a whole new round of attention in the last month after it was adopted by Extremely Serious Individual Donald Trump.

Bachmann piled on with another strange non-disavowal, refusing to credit the birth documentation Obama had already released, saying instead "I take him at his word."

Then she danced back and forth over the line a few more times on Good Morning America and Fox and Friends.

In response to this fresh ridiculosity -- and perhaps to deflect attention from what is likely to be a particularly grim statement on the U.S. economy this afternoon -- Obama caved to the birther lunatics this morning and released his full certification of live birth.

So what was Michele Bachmann's response? So far, a deafening silence. We called and emailed Bachmann's office for comment, but so far they haven't had anything to say. We'll keep you updated if she ever gets back to us.

In the meantime, here's Obama's full birth certificate:

She's silent because, when she looked closely at the certificate, what she read was "STFU."

I'm not an expert on birth certificates; but one thing that I find odd is in # 9. Race of father! It says (African), but it should have said (black) or (Negro).Someone from Africa could be white as well as black. As you can see in # 14 mother’s race it says (Caucasian) for white not (American)In addition I looked at my birth certificate, and mine has a raised seal of the State I was born in; Obama’s birth certificate is missing the seal. In conclusion for me; this raised more questions then it answered...

you should find a video on youtube that breaks down where they question if mccain was eligible and they had to get a resolution that stated that he was eligible beause of two reasons 1 he was born on a military base in panamal canal which sents its a us base is considered us soil and 2 BOTH OF HIS PARENTS WERE US CITIZENS obama even put his signature on this resolution which tells me that he agrees with these terms as proving ones eligibility for presidency how ever as far as i know obama sr was never a citizen

This website shows the newly released "long form" of Obama's "Birth Certificate," yet it's signed and dated by the current state Registrar: Alvin T. Onaka PhD. April 25th 2011, and not signed by Charles G. Benett, General Registrar or Leo Bernstein M.D. the Director of Health as seen here in this birth certificate from the same hospital for a child that was born just a day after Obama: http://www.wnd.com/index.php?p... One more question, where is the Hawaiian STATE SEAL?! It's not shown on Obama's newly released "Birth Certificate?" If the woman from the WND website was easily able to print off both Birth Certificates from microfiche for her twins that were born just a day after Obama, why couldn't Obama do the same thing?! Let's see the signatures, let's see the state seal!

Ok, I'll yap. The PDF as released by the WH is easily deconstructed with Adobe Illustrator. It appears to be a construct of multiple (!!!) composition layers each of which indicates manipulation of whatever source 'image' was available.

(curiously enough, the image/PDF was scrubbed of metadata with the exception of the OS of the last machine to manipulate the PDF, a MacOS machine)

Whomever released this PDF is either a) incompetent in that they didn't consolidate/flatten layers to preclude firther controversy or b) an outright liar/forger.

The 'release' of this 'document' is a non-event settling nothing.

The really sad thing here -- and it's getting pretty old besides being really sad -- is how stupid this whole thing made the US look. I mean, I know Americans generally aren't the brightest bulbs in the chandelier, but we've got to start doing a better job of hiding it. This "birther" stuff just gives the rest of the world one more reason to see us as the drooling idiot in the corner with the maxed-out Visa card and a gun.

Wasn't it the Hillary Camp or the Hillary supporters who were the first to bring up Obama's birth certificate, or lack there of, in early 2008 during the primary?

From Nick's Article above-"Obama caved to the birther lunatics this morning and released his full certification of live birth."

So the lunatics are the Hillary supporters or the Hillary Campaign right Nick? Because they were the founders of the birther movement right?

From Nick's links above-Stephanopoulos: Well, but so does the president. According to the bill ‘a candidate for president or vice president shall attach to and file with the affidavit a copy of the candidate’s birth certificate certified by the appropriate official in the candidate’s state of birth.'Bachmann: That's right.Stephanopoulos: Well I have the president’s certificate right here. It’s certified, it’s got a certification number. It’s got the registrar of the state signed. It’s got a seal on it. And it says 'this copy serves as prima facie evidence of the fact of birth in any court proceeding.'Bachmann: Well, then that should settle it.Stephanopoulos: So it’s over?Bachmann: That’s what should settle it. I take the president at his word and I think– again I would have no problem and apparently the president wouldn’t either. Introduce that, we’re done. Move on...

See that Nick, Michelle said "MOVE ON"She never said she would have more to say on the subject Nick, so why are you calling? Have a fetish with Michelle Nick?Or is it a simple comprehension problem Nick?"

Typical Citypages spin!Let's see if we can cast negative light on Michelle

Johnny, no matter how "perfect" the document is, or is not, there will always be those who will question it. In case you didn't know, it's not really about the birth certificate at all.

It's not a point of a document being perfect. The point is that that the doc was clearly and clumsily manipulated with Illustrator. Why not just post a jpeg scan of the original document?
