Michele Bachmann made up "LensCrafters of Big Abortion" quote

Bachmann brings the bosh to Iowa.
"The executive director of Planned Parenthood in Illinois said they want to become the LensCrafters of big abortion in Illinois," Michele Bachmann told Iowa social conservatives on Monday.

A Planned Parenthood executive said that?

CNN's Anderson Cooper put it this way last night: "She's made up a quote."

Planned Parenthood's PLAN Express Care in Woodbury.
Here's what happened.

A couple of years ago, Planned Parenthood embarked on a program to launch express family planning "clothes on" clinics in shopping malls. You want some STD counseling right down the sidewalk from Starbucks? Planned Parenthood's there for you.

"I like to think of it as the LensCrafters of family planning," Illinois Planned Parenthood executive Steve Trombley told the Wall Street Journal in 2008. A clinic visit ought to be no harder than stopping by to get your eyes checked.

There's even one of those express clinics in Woodbury, which is part of Bachmann's district.

But Trombley's quote got lost in the fun house that is Bachman's drive for political power. She put words in Trombley's mouth in order to scare the bejeebus out of her fans. Cooper called her out last night.

Naturally, Planned Parenthood wasn't amused, deriding Bachmann for her "cynical and coldhearted" attack. And she pissed off LensCrafters to boot: The company called her office and told her to keep it out of her overheated political rhetoric.

The congresswoman's office called the company's anger "perfectly understandable."

Next, Bachmann's off to New Hampshire, where she's trying to figure out if she's a credible candidate for president. Will tea partiers see her a little more clearly now?

Minnesota spent 1.41 million dollars in 2009 aborting nearly 4000 babies USING PUBLIC FUNDS. Over 65% being black. Racial genocide; don't you love the true desire of the liberal and their "right to kill for compassion". "It saves the state money, because this child would most likely repeat the cycle of being a burden to the state as their parent is."Sorry, just parroting some of what I've heard in liberal legislative circles.

"I like to think of it as the LensCrafters of family planning," Illinois Planned Parenthood executive Steve Trombley told the Wall Street Journal in 2008. He can use their name but Bachmann cant even when parroting Trombley?Talk about an elitist double standard.

I don't trust you( no one actually does) so I will await you providing budget sources for your info(not from mccl). And I notice you avoided the fact you lied-and everyone can see it since it is right here-you said MB "parroted" the director of PP when in fact she changed the words, meaning and point of his statement. That Mr. jerk is not parroting, and you saying it is , is just another example of your lies. Now if you had any honor, charachter or honesty you would admit that.

Planned Parenthood can't use public money for abortions, it is illegal. They do use public money for mammograms, pap smears and birth control though

Having character I do.In fact zeromcgee, I feel most people also trust me. The circles in which I stand, relay just that, otherwise I could not stand there. Some big people, with big power. Ok NOT parroting, more like summarizing. I love how you take usage of words so literal. Democrats like obama's use of words must really sting under your "literal" and "gospel" interpretation. Call him a liar you must. Also, most people get what I'm saying zero-mcbrains, and according to the accusal of me, you must also be a "liar" without you providing resources for your claim that "no one actually does".

The Jerk is immune to things like honesty, truth and facts-he just ignores them. just like he calls bachamanns lies "parroting". And the fact the minesota didn't spend any money on abortion makes no difference either-he just makes stuff up and rants away!

They started using public money in 1993 in Minnesota1993 - 2 abortions performed1994 - 309 abortions performed1995 - 1,555 abortions performed1996 - 1,581 abortions performed

Even MPR did a article on the State of Minnesota spending money ON ABORTION and the Republicans who are trying to ban funding for this

Here is some stats from the ACLU-Currently only seventeen states fund abortions for low-income women on the same or similar terms as other pregnancy-related and general health services. Four of these states provide funding voluntarily (HI, MD, NY,1 and WA); in thirteen, courts interpreting their state constitutions have declared broad and independent protection for reproductive choice and have ordered nondiscriminatory public funding of abortion (AK, AZ, CA, CT, IL, MA, MN, MT, NJ, NM, OR, VT, and WV).2 Thirty-two of the remaining states pay for abortions for low-income women in cases of life-endangering circumstances, rape, or incest, as mandated by federal Medicaid law...

• In 2008, there were 1,793 abortion providers in the United States. This is virtually unchanged from 2005, when there were 1,787 abortion providers. Thirty-four percent of these providers were hospitals, 21% were abortion clinics (clinics where more than half of all patient visits were for abortion), 26% were clinics where fewer than half of all visits were for abortion, and 19% were private physicians' offices. Seventy percent of all abortions were provided at abortion clinics, 24% at other clinics, 4% at hospitals and 1% at private physicians' offices.

• In 2008, there were 14 abortion providers in Minnesota. This represents a 27% increase from 2005, when there were 11 abortion providers.

And of course political hacks/brainwashed dumb-asses like Zorromcgee would quickly call me a liar. Accuse me of making "made up political rants"Hey Zorromcgee, Wa WaSuppose you're gonna tell us the Easter Bunny "really exists" also right Zorromcgee?

Don't trust me people, look it up!
