Police need help identifying the suspect and the victim.
A man known only as "John Doe" at the moment is dealing with life-threatening injuries at Hennepin County Medical Center this morning, after someone crashed a car into him last night near 14th and Lyndale Avenue North.

The force of the crash shattered the man's leg.

Minneapolis police spokesman Sgt. Steve McCarty is asking for the public's help in catching the driver of the car. Any help in identifying the bike rider would also help. He wasn't carrying any ID at the time of the crash. All police know is that he's a white male between 30 and 60 years old.

If you can help, call the Minneapolis Police Department Traffic Unit at 612-673-2981, or Crime Stoppers.
