You may disagree with the comparison and be insulted but I urge you to drop the emotion and look at the systematic dismantling of our public service over the years. The comparison is in fact valid, get sensational about it if you want but just be aware of the long term implications of poor public works and a downtrodden working class.

Michelle may think differently than some of you but I guarantee she will work hard for you anyway and does in fact play an important role in keeping our political system somewhat honest.

Really we should be the most concerned about revamping our countries infrastructure and grossly outdated education system. People need to wake up and start understanding how to compete with China...otherwise buy Rosetta Stone with your tax return and learn Mandarin.

I don't mind paying taxes - I just wish they were not spent bailing out banks, energy companies, and car manufactures. If anything it would be systematic to at least be able to appropriate how some of the taxes should be spent. I vote Education, Healthcare and public services.

Is it not time for American citizens to just "man-up" and pay our taxes. With the Bush tax cuts, we've had low taxes for nearly ten years now. Just how little tax does Bachmann and her t-party ilk think we should pay for government? Nobody likes to pay taxes but, good grief, we shouldn't have to cannablize all our social programs for the sake of the T-party's warped vision of the American Dream either.

When the "Bush Tax Cuts" are removed, this same person will pay $2,250 before exemptions.Yep, those making $25,000 or less per year WILL see a 50% increase in their federal tax rate increasing from 10% under Bush, to 15% under Obama's plan.And we need to remove ALL tax loop holes. There is NO WAY a person should get more back at the end of the year than they paid in. A nation with 41% of the population acting as parasites!

Once again Kirk shows he is the clearest thinker in Minnesota. Obviously Republicans only care about poor people and the effect the Bush tax cuts are having on them. There is no way Kirk is being disingenuous here. Obviously we have to keep the massive Bush tax cuts for the rich because we wouldn't want to have poor people's taxes go up. Now, I know what you are thinking why not keep the tax cuts for the poor while raising the tax rate on the rich? That's the same kind of commie socialist crap Nancy Pelosi would say.
